Traffic Marshal (Banksman) Training Course
The Course Details
The half-day Traffic Marshal (Traffic Banksman) course from AST Services is designed to meet the needs of construction sites and workplaces where managing vehicle movement is essential for safety.

A Traffic Marshal, also known as a Banksman, is a trained operative responsible for directing vehicles and plant machinery safely on or around a site.

First Aid at Work – Level 3
GET YOUR STAFF QUALIFIED IN FIRST AID
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become first aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training first aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 22 hours of learning, typically over three days, with a minimum contact time of 18 hours.
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness.
- The qualification also covers the following:
- First aid skills in CPR
- Use of an AED (Automated external defibrillator)
- Assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis
- Administering first aid to a choking casualty
- Putting a casualty into the recovery position
- Dealing with shocks, bleeds, burns and minor injuries

FAA Award in First Aid for Mental Health Level 2
GET YOUR STAFF QUALIFIED IN MENTAL HEALTH
The First Aid for Mental Health award is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.
Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.
The total qualification time for this qualification is 7 hours, all of which are recommended as guided learning hours.
Building on the Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health this course introduces the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan which allows learners to provide their peers with comprehensive guidance and support for a suspected mental health condition, plus the following points:

- Providing advice and starting a conversation
- Drugs and alcohol
